Inshore Lifeboat launched at 0107 to report from Kent Police of a person having jumped from Rochester Bridge. ILB carried out a thorough search of the River along with Medway CRT, nothing found, ILB returned to station at 0310. Wstly 4.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 2010 in response to a call from UK Coastguard of an object (possibly a person) in the mud at Rochester, Local Coastguard and Police attending, ILB arrived on scene and after investigation, an old tree stump was located. ILB returned to station at 2204. SSE 3.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1022 to assist UK Coastguard, Coastguard Helicopter and Police in search at Rochester, after an extensive and thorough search of the River, the ILB was stood down at 1214, returning to station at 1312. SW 3.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 0950 to resume search for missing person in Rochester area. ILB carried out once again a thorough and extensive search of the River along with UK Coastguard and other emergency services, with nothing found, the ILB returned to station at 1600. SW 3/4.
Inshore lifeboat re-launched at 1552 to resume search for missing person in Rochester area. ILB carried out another extensive search of the River along with UK Coastguard, nothing found, ILB returned to station at 1950. SW 3.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1213 to assist UK Coastguard in search for missing person at Chatham. ILB carried out an extensive search of River up as far as Cuxton, before having to return to station to refuel and carry out a crew change. ILB returned to station at 1440. SW 3.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 0145 following report to UK Coastguard of a missing person in the Chatham area. ILB carried out an extensive search of River from St Mary’s Island to Rochester, nothing found. ILB returned to station at 0345. Sthly 2.
All weather lifeboat The George and Ivy Swanson launched at 2.28pm on Sunday 20 November after receiving a call from the UK Coastguard that a 25 foot cruiser type craft the Mary Cray was having problems with a fouled propeller.
The craft with two people on board had got into difficulties after its anchor cable was washed overboard from the vessels foredeck and had fouled the propeller.
The crew members had managed to get a line attached to a barge moored off Stangate Creek where the lifeboat located them at approximately 2.45pm
A line was attached and the lifeboat towed the casualty back to the safety of the all tide landing at Queenborough Harbour.
The lifeboat was back on station at 4.28pm
All weather lifeboat launched at 1538, following a report to UK Coastguard of an upturned craft off St Mary’s Island, River Medway. Medway CG had craft visual and a boat from the Royal Engineer’s regiment arrived on scene, they managed to take the craft in tow, which was in a derelict condition and broken away from a mooring during the strong winds. The ALB was stood down and returned to station at 1605. SW 6.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1606 in answer to a call from a 16ft speedboat with two persons onboard, which was unable to start their engine, opposite Thamesport container terminal. ILB on scene at 1614, casualty now had engine running, ILB escorting casualty upriver, when passed Oakhamness, the owner stated that he was quite happy to proceed unaided. ILB returned to station and was ready for service at 1650. NW 3.
