Inshore lifeboat launched at 1108 to report of craft ashore at Warden Point, two persons ashore, one of which was an elderly Diabetic and his condition was deteriorating. ILB located the craft ashore at 1125, the diabetic person was given some Glucose gel, which slightly improved his condition, due to the location, with limited access from shore side, it was decided to transport the two persons to Leysdown Beach, where an Ambulance was arranged to meet the ILB. The gentleman and his son were landed ashore to Ambulance and Sheppey CRT. The ILB then returned to the craft along with Whitstable lifeboat with the view of re-floating the vessel, but it was soon apparent, that the craft was sinking, so was beached as far up as possible and secure with an anchor and ropes, loose debris from the craft was collected and placed ashore, with little more that could be done, the lifeboats were released and ILB returned to station at 1325.
