The inshore lifeboat was tasked at 09:06 on Friday 28 May by the UK Coastguard to a report initially of a yacht dragging anchor at Slaughterhouse Point, River Medway.
Launching at 09:23 with a crew of three the lifeboat was on scene at 09:33 and having checked the position given, the crew soon located a yacht on its side. After hailing the skipper, it was confirmed he had arrived in the early hours of the morning and moored in the wrong place. He confirmed that he was happy to stay on board and await the next tide.
Based on this information the ILB was released at 09:43 and returned to station, refuelled and ready for service again at 10:20
