All weather lifeboat was tasked at 2031 on Sunday 21 July by the UK Coastguard to assist in the location of a 23′ yacht, with one man onboard who was in difficulty and unsure of his position having left London earlier in the day. The Lifeboat was requested to search 0.5 miles offshore from Sheerness and East towards Whitstable. Launching at 2049 the search was commenced at 2052 and ceased at 2110 when the UK Coastguard stood Sheerness Lifeboat down as Whitstable Lifeboat, who had also been tasked, located the casualty off Reculver to the East of their station.The ALB returned to station at 2135.
