All weather lifeboat The George and Ivy Swanson launched at 2.28pm on Sunday 20 November after receiving a call from the UK Coastguard that a 25 foot cruiser type craft the Mary Cray was having problems with a fouled propeller.
The craft with two people on board had got into difficulties after its anchor cable was washed overboard from the vessels foredeck and had fouled the propeller.
The crew members had managed to get a line attached to a barge moored off Stangate Creek where the lifeboat located them at approximately 2.45pm
A line was attached and the lifeboat towed the casualty back to the safety of the all tide landing at Queenborough Harbour.
The lifeboat was back on station at 4.28pm
