Inshore lifeboat launched at 032o to a Houseboat at Rochester reported to be taking on water, the ILB was stood down at 0330, Medway CRT and Kent Fire & Rescue have access from the shore, no assistance from the river required. ILB back on station at 0340. SW 4/5.
The volunteer crew of the Sheerness RNLI all weather lifeboat were called out at 0410 on Wednesday 12 February after being tasked by the UK Coastguard to 45 foot steel hulled yacht with two men,a lady and also a talkative parrot onboard.The craft was on passage from Faversham Creek to a mooring at Hoo Marina when it suffered engine failure and was at anchor approximately 1.8 nm off Leysdown on the Isle of Sheppey. The lifeboat was on the scene at 0437 and had the yacht safely under tow at 0515. The tow was completed without incident and the casualty craft was secured on the All Tide Landing in Queenborough at 0712.The ALB was back on station at 0720. Wind W F6
