All weather lifeboat launched at 1628 to an 8 mtr pleasure craft suffering from machinery failure and at anchor approx. 2 miles North of Warden Point. ALB arrived on scene at 1652, the two occupants okay and happy to remain on board, the casualty craft recovered their anchor and a tow was passed, with the craft secure, the lifeboat commenced its passage back towards the Medway. On route, the lifeboat was advised that another craft was willing to take over the tow and tow the craft back to its mooring. The other craft took over the tow at 1800 and heading back into Stoke Creek. The lifeboat returned to station at 1815. SW 5/6.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1859 to report of a person trapped at the base of the cliffs at Warden Point. Sheppey CRT and Ambulance already on scene at cliff top, Rescue 163 proceeding. ILB arrived on scene and stood by, whilst the Rescue Helicopter airlifted the person to the safety of the cliff top, where the person was transferred to the ambulance. ILB released and returned to station at 2014. Southerly 2/3.
