Inshore lifeboat launched at 1203 to report of 3 Kayakers in difficulty off Nore Marsh, River Medway, ILB made best speed in the prevailing weather, advised by CG that the kayakers were being observed by two yachts. ILB on scene at 1234, 1 kayaker had been recovered by one of the yachts and the other two were last seen trying to make the shore. ILB commenced a search of the marshes and creeks, the ILB located the 2 kayakers ashore on Bishops marsh at 1300, both were cold and wet and were taken on board the ILB, where they were landed ashore to Medway CRT at Riverside country park, the ILB returned to the marsh to recovere their kayaks, once safely ashore, the ILB returned to the yacht to recover the 3rd kayaker, who was also landed ashore to Cg. ILB returned to station at 1415, ready for service at 1450. SW 6 gusting 8.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 1412 to report of yacht drifting off Chathamness, River Medway, due to an outboard fault, the ILB had to return to station at 1435, whilst fault finding was carried out, the station was advised that the yacht had been secured by a passing craft. ILB was rehoused at 1515. Estly 2.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 0015 to a report of a vulnerable person in a distressed state on board a craft at Strood, River Medway. The ILB was stood down at 0027, when the person was reported to be safe ashore. ILB returned to station at 0039. Estly 2.

Inshore lifeboat diverted from exercise at 1957 to report of 4 persons cut off by the tide off Minster Beach Huts, ILB proceeded, but was stood down at 2005, when it was confirmed that all the persons were coming ashore. ILB returned to station at 2015. Easterly 3/4.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 0553 to Belgium yacht fouled propeller on mooring buoy in Queenborough harbour, once on scene, the crew attempted to free the mooring, but were unable to, due to the depth of the propeller. One of the yachts crew was placed ashore to get further assistance. ILB returned to station at 0630. SW 1.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 1500 to a 24ft Speedboat broken down with 4 pob in Kethole Reach, casualty located and tow secured, craft towed to Chatham maritime in Upnor. ILB returned to station at 1705.    Estly 2.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 1726 to 3 persons on Martello Tower off the Isle of Grain, UKCG concerned for their safety with high water approaching, ILB quickly on scene and the 2 males and 1 female were taken on board the ILB and landed ashore at Grain. The ILB returned to station at 1756. Easterly 3/4.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 1203 to report of a body in the water near Thunderbolt Pier, Chatham Dockyard. On route to scene, the ILB was stood down at 1215 by UKCG, report confirmed that body was in a dock at Chatham Historic Dockyard and rescue units on scene. ILB returned to station at 1232. Easterly 2/3.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 2347 to several reports of a Red Flare sighted over Bartlett/Rainham creek area, ILB carried out a search into creeks where the tide would allow, nothing seen. ILB stood down at 0020. ILB back on station at 0050. Estly 2.

Inshore lifeboat launched at 1740 to report of vulnerable male missing between Barton’s Point and Eastchurch. ILB carried out shoreline search along with CG units and Police, nothing found, all SAR units stood down at 1817, person found safe and well at home. ILB returned to station at 1833. Variable 2.
