All weather lifeboat launched at 1651 to 35ft Sail Training Yacht with 4 persons onboard, which had lost drive and ended up aground just North of the All Tide Landing, Queenborough. On scene at 1700, a line was quickly secured and the yacht towed clear into deeper water, where it was then manoeuvred alongside the ATL, with the craft undamaged and all person’s unharmed, the ALB was released and returned to station, ready for service at 1750. Inshore lifeboat tasked at 0409 to report of person threatening to jump from Rochester rail Bridge. Crew onboard and called the CG at 0424 to inform they were about to launch, when advised by CG, that person was now safe, ILB requested to stand down. SW 5/6.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1205 to report of a Wildfowler plus his two dogs had been cut off by the tide in Funton Creek, River Medway. The ILB arrived on scene at 1225 and located the casualty approx. 300 mtrs from the shore on a rocky outcrop, the ILB recovered the person and dogs and landed them ashore, where Sheppey CRT were waiting, no medical attention required. ILB returned to station and ready for service at 1322. Wstly 6/7.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1606 to report of person threatening to enter the River Medway at Chatham, ILB arrived on scene and commenced search of the River up to Rochester Bridge, UKCG shore teams searching the shore line, with nothing found, the ILB was stood down and returned to station at 1820. Var 1.
Inshore lifeboat crew paged at 0848, but whilst crew were mustering, UKCG cancelled the launch at 0854.
All weather lifeboat launched at 1400 in winds gusting up to 57 knots to a report from UKCG of a Yacht with one person onboard broke free from it’s moorings off Gillingham, on scene at 1430 along with Kent Police RHIB, ALB stood off, whilst Police boat re-secured craft to mooring posts, with craft all secure and owner happy to remain onboard, both craft were released at 1530, the ALB returning to station at 1606. Wstly force 7-10.
