Inshore lifeboat launched at 2002 to report of person in a dangerous position on Rochester Bridge, the ILB however, was stood down at 2006, person now safe. ILB recovered and re-housed. Wstly 4/5.
All weather lifeboat launched at 1105 in response to call from UKCG of a small canoe drifting in the shipping channel near Oaze Buoy, 8 nautical miles from station, arriving on scene the ALB carried out search pattern’s provided by the UKCG, with nothing found in the prevailing condition’s, the ALB was stood down at 1330, returning to station at 1350 and ready for service at 1437. Inshore lifeboat launched at 1513 after a call from UKCG of a vulnerable male reported missing in the area of Sun Pier, Chatham and it was thought he may have entered the water. ILB on scene at 1542 and along with Shore teams from Medway & Sheppey CG & Police, a thorough search of the river was carried out. With nothing found and no further information, the ILB was released at 1709, returning to station at 1748. SW 3/4.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 2256 in response from a call from UKCG of a distressed and vulnerable female that was in the water on a mud bank close to the wall of Gillingham Marina. With the tide rising, the ILB made best speed to the scene, where they arrived at 2314 and were requested to stand off whilst a Police team attempted to calm the person and persuade her to come ashore, teams from Kent Fire & Rescue and Medway CG also on scene. With the female safely ashore at 2331, the ILB was released and returned to station at 2355. Wstly 3.
