All weather lifeboat launched at 1626 to 12 mtr Cruiser aground in Sharfleet Creek, River Medway, 2 persons onboard. On scene at 1644, craft high and dry, ALB unable to assist at this time, owner happy to remain onboard until next HW, advice given regarding deploying anchor and safest route clear of mud bank. ALB returned to station at 1708. SW 3.
Inshore lifeboat launched at 1108 to report of craft ashore at Warden Point, two persons ashore, one of which was an elderly Diabetic and his condition was deteriorating. ILB located the craft ashore at 1125, the diabetic person was given some Glucose gel, which slightly improved his condition, due to the location, with limited access from shore side, it was decided to transport the two persons to Leysdown Beach, where an Ambulance was arranged to meet the ILB. The gentleman and his son were landed ashore to Ambulance and Sheppey CRT. The ILB then returned to the craft along with Whitstable lifeboat with the view of re-floating the vessel, but it was soon apparent, that the craft was sinking, so was beached as far up as possible and secure with an anchor and ropes, loose debris from the craft was collected and placed ashore, with little more that could be done, the lifeboats were released and ILB returned to station at 1325. Inshore lifeboat launched at 0700 to report of person unwell onboard his 22ft craft near Kingsnorth. ILB on scene at 0723, person de-hydrated, assessed by crew and Ambulance requested, craft taken under tow and towed the short distance to Gillingham Pier, where it was secured and the person landed to awaiting Ambulance. ILB returned to station at 0902. SW 3.
ILB diverted from training exercise at 2024, report of 7 Mtr open boat opposite Medway Bridge Marina, two person seen waving for assistance. After a crew change, the ILB proceeded at 2033, making best speed in deteriorating weather conditions. ILB stood down at 2053, craft now reported alongside at marina. ILB returned to station at 2107.
