3rd January Inshore Lifeboat paged at 0038 to report of Distressed person on Rochester Bridge, the crew were stood down before launching and the ILB was rehoused.
9th January All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1700 to reports of Red Flares on a line from Blacktail Spit to Warden point, the ALB carried out a thorough search of the area and nothing found. ALB ready for service at 1845. wind North Westerly F2.
3rd February All Weather Lifeboat launched at 2227 to 25ft Motor Sailer experiencing heavy weather conditions in West Swin/Maplin Sands, three persons onboard, the owner reported that his crew were suffering from sea sickness and fearful that the craft might capsize in present weather. ALB arrived on scene at 2322 and after several attempts a crewman was transferred and a tow established at 2335, after a long tow in heavy seas, the casualty craft was secured in Queenborough harbour at 0255, the occupants were taken ashore to awaiting Ambulance for hospital checks and the ALB returned to station and ready for service at 0426. wind West South West F 8/9.
4th February Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1558 to report of Male Adult stranded on Nore marsh, whilst launching the ILB was also advised of two persons adrift in a dinghy in Gillingham Reach, the ILB made best speed to the scene, whilst on passage upriver, it was confirmed that the two persons in dinghy had been recovered by a local tug and were being landed ashore. The ILB continued to Nore marsh and arrived on scene at 1635, after several attempts to reach the casualty, the ILB had to abort due to the tide rapidly ebbing, a Rescue helicopter was requested and the person duly airlifted to safety. ILB returned to station. wind West South West F6/7.
6th February Pagers activated at 1359, report of dinghy in trouble in Damhead creek, launch cancelled at 1403, persons safe ashore.
13th February All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1722 to report of Jet Ski drifting in Gillingham Reach with two persons onboard, however, shortly after, the ALB was stood down, when it was confirmed that Jet Ski was in tow of a passing craft and returning to Gillingham. ALB ready for service at 1738. wind South South West F4/5.
20th March All Weather Lifeboat launched at 0219 to the M/V Grande Ghana outward bound in the Sea Reach channel with a sick pilot onboard, Gravesend L/B already placed a crewmember onboard. Sheerness ALB arrived on scene, Rescue helicopter also on scene, ALB shadowed the vessel, whilst casualty was airlifted to hospital, Gravesend L/B recovered their crewmember and ALB returned to station and ready for service at 0421. wind ESE F2.
4th April Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2254 to launch with fouled propellor in Queenborough hbr, ILB crew assisted to free propellor and escorted craft to safety.

6th April Inshore Lifeboat crew paged late afternoon to report of two persons in the water at Chatham, crew stood down before launch.
17th April Inshore Lifeboat crew paged at 1002 to report of person in the water at Chatham, holding onto dinghy. ILB was stood down at 1008, person recovered by local craft and taken ashore.
24th April All Weather Lifeboat launched at 0200 to 25ft MFV with complete power failure in Great Nore Anchorage, two persons onboard, casualties fishing gear still on seabed and unable to recover. ALB placed crewmember onboard and stood by whilst fishing gear was released, the casualty was then taken under tow for the Hadleigh Ray, where it was secured on a mooring, the two occupants were landed at Southend Pier. ALB returned to station at 0538. wind Estly F2.
1st May Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1444 to 18ft Speedboat broken down and drifting in Gillingham Reach, 2 persons onboard, casualty located and taken in tow for Gillingham Dock, where it was eventually secured and persons assisted ashore by Medway CG.

8th May ILB crew paged for Jet Skier possibly injured, stood down before launch, no assistance required.
15th May ILB crew paged for person at Rochester, stood down before launch, person assisted by Police.
21st May Inshore lifeboat launched at 1720 to Cruiser aground by Folly Point after running out of fuel, 5 persons onboard, 4 persons assisted to Cruiser standing off, ILB checked craft and placed out anchor, 1 person remaining onboard, ILB returned to station at 1849. wind SW F3.
25th May Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2103 to 32ft Yacht reporting to have run out of fuel and anchor not holding in entrance to Stangate Creek, River Medway, one person. ILB run fuel out to casualty, but still unable to start engine, due to weather forecast, casualty was towed into the safety of Queenborough hbr. ILB returned to station at 2242. wind SSE F2.
30th May Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2017 to 15ft Speedboat stranded on the mud off Elmley in Swale, 2 persons onboard, CG concerned for their welfare, ILB arrived on scene, casualty approx 20 yds from water’s edge, 2 crew made their way across mud to casualty and secured tow line, both persons ok, as tide rose, casualty was towed clear and then escorted to Queenborough Hbr. ILB ready for service at 2202. wind NW F3.
22nd June Inshore Lifeboat launched at 0427 to 22ft Yacht with engine failure at anchor inside Darnettness Fort, River Medway, one person onboard, the ILB towed the casualty back to it’s mooring at Gillingham Marina, ILB released and returned to station and ready for service at 0600. wind SW F3.
26th June Inshore Lifeboat tasked to broken down Speedboat in Gillingham Reach, 2 persons onboard, as the ILB was launching, it was stood down when it was confirmed, that casualty was being assisted by another craft. ILB re-housed at 1855. wind Estly F2.
26th June Inshore Lifeboat tasked to Jet Skier unable to reach the shore in the Swale, as the ILB was launching, it was stood down once again, casualty managed to reach shore safely. ILB re-housed at 2000. wind Estly F2.
2nd July Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1440 to assist Kent Ambulance with collapsed female near Hoo Marina, land personnel unable to reach casualty, the ILB was stood down at 1453, when it was confirmed that person had been recovered by stretcher with assistance of Kent Fire Brigade. ILB ready for service at 1520. wind Estly F2.
5th July Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1902 to report of Jet Skier in difficulties off Minster Leas, on way to casualty, it was reported, that the person had managed to make it ashore, but the Jet Ski was still adrift, the ILB recovered the Jet Ski and towed it ashore, where it was re-united with the owner. ILB ready for service at 1959. wind Wstly F4/5.
6th July Inshore Lifeboat diverted from Training Ex at 2010 to report of 22ft yacht gone aground on the South side of Hoo Island, River Medway. ILB arrived on scene, casualty high & dry, 3 persons onboard, the ILB crew assisted to transfer the occupants from their craft to a local yacht club committee boat standing by, the ILB then returned to station & ready for service at 2149. wind SW F4/5.
12th July All Weather Lifeboat launched at 2010 to 33ft Yacht 12nm from station at Maplin bank buoy with unreliable engine and unable to make headway in strong NNE wind, the ALB arrived on scene and established a tow and the casualty was towed to the shelter of Queenborough Hbr. ALB ready for service at 2310. wind NNE F5/6.
13th July Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1650 to report of Motor Sailer in trouble near Kingsnorth jetty, Rvr Medway, ILB arrived on scene to find 28ft Yacht aground on Bishops marsh, Long reach, ILB attempted to tow the yacht off, but too far aground, in view of the increasing wind, the 4 elderley occupants were taken off and landed ashore at Thunderbolt pier. ILB ready for service at 1845. wind Nthly F3/4.
14th July Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1655 to yacht reported aground exiting Queenborough hbr, ILB located casualty on Queenborough Spit, Dutch yacht aground with 2 persons onboard, ILB placed out anchor, crew happy to await flood tide. ILB returned and ready for service at 1753. wind Wstly F3.
22nd July All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1907 to 12mtr Dutch yacht with fouled propellor 1.4nm East of Garrison Point, 6 persons onboard, ALB arrived on scene and took the casualty in tow for Queenborough hbr, where it was safely secured at 2005. ALB ready for service at 2035. wind Estly F2.
23rd July All Weather Lifeboat launched at 0955 to 9mtr Angling Boat with machinery failure close to the Spile buoy, 7 nm from station, 2 persons onboard. ALB arrived on scene, tow established and the casualty towed to the entance of Stoke Creek, Rvr Medway, where it was re-anchored to await the tide & a tow back to it’s mooring. ALB ready for service at 1225. wind NNW F4/5.
31st July Inshore Lifeboat diverted from exercise at 1136 to 3mtr RIB broken down off Sheerness seafront, 2 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene, casualty under tow of sailing dinghy, ILB took over the tow and towed the RIB back to the local Yacht Club. ILB returned to station and ready for service at 1247. wind Var F2.
31st July Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1745 to faint Mayday call from 30ft Yacht reported to be aground on North shore of Saltpan reach, ILB checked the position given and no sign of casualty, ILB then commenced search and with assistance of Kent Police RIB, located the casualty high and dry in Long Reach, ILB crewmember walked ashore and owner & crew happy to remain onboard until next HW. ILB returned to station at 1935.

1st August All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1911 to 21ft Yacht with broken rudder in Saltpan reach, Rvr Medway, 2 persons onboard. Casualty located at anchor, crewman placed onboard and casualty taken in tow for Queenborough hbr, where it was secured. On passage out of Queenborough, the ALB also checked on a Yacht aground on Queenborough spit, 1 person onboard and happy to await next tide. ALB returned to station at 2027. wind SSE F 2/3.
2nd August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1642 to 21ft Sports Boat out of fuel and drifting off Otterham Creek entrance, River Medway, 4 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene and took the casualty in tow for mariners farm boatyard, upon arrival at the entrance, there was insuffient water to land the casualty, so the the ILB towed the casualty back out of the creek and now heading for Gillingham. The casualty was safely secured on a mooring and the persons landed ashore at 1921, the ILB returned to station at 2020.

5th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2138 to report of Person threatening to jump from Rochester Bridge, ILB was stood down at 2158, when it was confirmed that person had been detained by police. ILB returned to station at 2238. wind SW F2.
7th August All weather Lifeboat launched at 2041 to 32ft Tri-maran with 3 persons onboard, craft reported out of fuel with electrical failure and unable to make headway, position North of Columbine buoy, although this was updated to North of Red Sand Towers whilst on way to casualty, casualty was located North West of Shivering Sand Towers, all on onboard, tow established and casualty towed into Queenborough Hbr. ALB returned to station at 0036. wind SW F4/5.
12th August Inshore lifeboat launched at 1650 to report of dinghy drifting off Minster, ILB on scene with craft at 1705, a small inflatable with two foreign occupants fishing, both ok and in no need of assistance, details obtained and ILB returned to station at 1757.

14th August All Weather Lifeboat diverted from exercise at 1125 to 31ft Yacht with overheating engine and unable to make headway under sail, 2 persons onboard, ALB arrived on scene with casualty just to the West of Reculver, tow established and casualty towed into Queenborough Hbr. ALB returned to station at 1505. wind NW F4.
14th August Inshore and All Weather Lifeboats launched at 1616 to unconscious male onboard Yacht near Kingsnorth jetty, Rvr Medway, 2 persons onboard , both Lifeboats arrived on scene, casualty given 1st Aid by crew’s before being evacuated to ALB by stretcher and then airlifted by Rescue 125 to Hospital, ALB released and returned to station at 1836. ILB continued to assist yacht back to a mooring off Gillingham, landing other crew member ashore. ILB returned to station at 1939. wind NW F2/3.
14th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2036 to report of submerged craft in Long Reach, Rvr Medway, ILB located the craft, which was derelict and been adrift for some time, ILB secured craft to suitable mooring. ILB returned to station at 2152. wind NW F2.
15th August Inshore and All Weather Lifeboats launched at 0437 to person missing from capsized craft off Seasalter, Whitstable Lifeboat also searching, ILB proceeding through swale to search area, ALB proceeding to Eastern end of Sheppey to commence search, Both Lifeboats stood down at 0458, casualty recovered by fishing vessel and Whitstable L/B in attendance. Sheerness ILB and ALB returned to station at 0540. wind WSW F2.
15th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1604 to 10ft dinghy drifting off Barton’s Point with 3 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene and took the craft in tow for Sheerness seafront, where it was landed with the occupants and handed over to Sheppey Cg. ILB returned to station at 1708. wind WSW F2/3.
16th August Inshore Lifeboat crew paged for Immediate Readiness, object reported off Minster, checked by Sheppey CG and identified as marker buoy. Crew stood down.
20th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1521 to 20ft Colvic Craft with 3 persons onboard, broken down off Sheerness Seafront, ILB on scene at 1526, casualty taken in tow for mooring at Lower Halstow creek, casualty secured and ILB returned to station at 1703.

21st August All Weather Lifeboat launched at 0934 to 31ft yacht broken down off Grain Hard buoy in shipping channel, 2 persons onboard, ALB on scene within minutes, casualty managed to re-start engine and happy to proceed on passage, ALB escorted to Medway channel, owner happy to proceed un-aided. ALB returned to station at 1005. wind Wstly F2.
24th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2141 to 55ft Dutch Barge with 5 persons onboard, unsure of position in River Medway, casualty located off Stangate Creek, crewmember placed onboard and casualty escorted to a safe berth in Queenborough hbr. ILB returned to station at 2325. wind SW F3.
28th August Inshore and All Weather Lifeboats both diverted from exercise at 1129 to 7mtr Yacht aground on marsh in Loden Hope, Queenborough Hbr, 2 persons onboard. ALB on scene first, but insuffient water to close casualty, ILB arrived on scene, two crew placed ashore with casualty and as tide rose, a tow line was secured and casualty successfully towed into deeper water, ILB escorted casualty to a safe mooring, whilst ALB returned to station. ILB 1129 – 1327. ALB 1129 – 1241. wind Wstly F3.
28th August All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1600 to 36ft Yacht with machinery failure, 2 persons onboard, casualty at anchore east of No 14 Barrow Deep buoy, ALB arrived on scene at 1636, crewman placed onboard and tow established, after a 2 hour tow, the casualty was safely secured on a mooring in Queenborough hbr. 1600 – 1908, wind Wstly F3.
28th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1815 to 8.5 mtr Motor Cruiser at anchor in Stangate Creek, 4 persons onboard. Casualty has a fouled stbd propellor and lost power & steering. ILB arrived on scene, crew assisted in re-starting engines and restoring steering, but owner advised to await ALB for tow to Queenborough. Once ALB on scene, the ILB was released, returning to station at 2000. wind Wstly F3.
28th August All Weather Lifeboat tasked at 1908 from previous incident to assist ILB with 8.5 mtr casualty in Stangate creek, crewman placed onboard, tow established and casualty  towed to a safe berth in Queenborough Hbr. ALB returned to station at 2045. wind Wstly F3.
29th August All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1646 to 30ft Sloop suffered machinery failure and now in tow of Whitstable L/B  in Four fathom channel, 3 persons onboard, ALB arrived on scene at 1715, tow taken over from Whitstable L/B and crewman placed onboard, tow to Queenborough passed without incident, casualty secured on All tide landing, ALB returned to station at 1953. wind NW F3/4.
29th August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2047 to report of person possibly missing from his moored yacht in Queenborough hbr. ILB arrived on scene and crew investigated yacht, after further investigation by CG, the person was located safe and well onboard another yacht. ILB returned to station at 2152. wind NW F3.
30th August Inshore lifeboat launched at 2008 to cabin cruiser reported aground between M2 Motorway bridge and Cuxton, Rvr Medway, 2 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene, casualty aground mid river on sandbank, ILB crew checked on craft, no damage visible, owner happy to remain onboard until next HW. ILB returned to station at 2257. wind NW F1.
31st August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 0308 to report of person missing, possibly cut off by tide on marshy outcrop in the Swale, last contact with casualty via mobile phone reports casualty wet & cold after having to swim from his location. Comms lost on mobile phone. ILB commenced search and was joined by CG, Police and Rescue 125. Casualty was located ashore safe & well, but very cold and wet, helicopter Paramadic checked casualty out and allowed to return home with his mother. ILB returned to station at 0525. wind NW F1.
31st August Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1236 to 17ft open fishing boat with 2 persons onboard, casualty suffered fouled propellor in Stangate Creek, Rvr Medway, casualty located and  tow established, casualty towed into Queenborough hbr. ILB returned to station at 1440. wind NE F2.
31st August Inshore Lifeboat crew paged at 1706 for report of person jumped from Rochester Bridge, whilst ILB was launching, the ILB crew were stood down, as casualty had been recovered by local fishing boat. ILB rehoused at 1720. wind Estly F2.
1st September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1213 to yacht reported possibly in trouble off Kingsnorth, Rvr Medway, ILB arrived on scene to find the yacht with 1 person onboard had suffered engine failure and struggling to make headway against the wind and tide, casualty taken in tow and towed to Gillingham marina, where it was secured in the locks. ILB returned to station at 1430. wind Estly F4/5.
2nd September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1720 to report of small dinghy drifting off Minster Leas, ILB arrived on scene to find 2 foreign persons onboard fishing, no assistance required, ILB returned to station at 1800. wind WSW F1.
4th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1735 to report of 24ft Cruiser broken down and adrift above Rochester bridge, River Medway. ILB arrived on scene at 1821 to find the casualty alongside the seawall above the bridge, there were 5 persons onboard, ILB secured a tow to casualty and towed the craft to local yacht club pontoons. ILB returned to station at 2005. wind SW F4/5.
8th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2058 to 28ft Workboat aground in entrance to Milton creek in the Swale, 4 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene and stood by until craft refloated, under it’s own power, the casualty was escorted to Queenborough Spit buoy, before returning to Chatham Marina. ILB returned to station at 2230. wind Wstly 3/4.
10th September Inshore lifeboat paged at 0829 to report of distressed female entering the sea off Minster Leas, the ILB was stood down at 0838, person recovered to shore by Police.
17th September Inshore Lifeboat paged at 1159  to 22ft Yacht with rigging failure and unable to motor against tide, 3 persons onboard. ILB stood down at 1202, casualty assisted by Port craft into Lower Camber, Sheerness.
17th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1322 to 22ft Yacht with rigging failure (same yacht as before), 3 persons onboard off Sheerness Docks, ILB secured a tow and towed the casualty into Queenborough Hbr, casualty secured on mooring and occupants landed ashore. ILB returned to station at 1437. wind SW F5.
17th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1557 to report of person threatening to jump from Rochester Bridge, ILB was stood down at 1604, when person was detained by Police. ILB returned to station at 1623. wind SW F5/6.
25th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1555 to report of vulnerable male in the river off Command House, Chatham, ILB arrived on scene to find person near naked on the mud, two ILB crew went ashore and coaxed the person into the ILB, person subsequently landed ashore to Police & Ambulance. ILB returned to station at 1820.

29th September Inshore Lifeboat launched at 2153 to 7mtr Cruiser with fouled propellor off Medway bridge marina, Rochester, 5 persons onboard, ILB arrived on scene at 2228, tow established and casualty towed to safe berth at Cuxton marina. ILB returned to station at 0032. wind Var F1.
30th September Inshore & All Weather Lifeboats paged for undesignated distress call on DSC from Cabin Cruiser, Lifeboats were stood down when it was established craft was not in distress.
1st October Inshore lifeboat launched at 1226 to 21ft Angling Boat with 2 persons onboard, broken down and at anchor approx 1 mile North of Eastchurch gap, ILB arrived on scene and took the casualty in tow for Queenborough harbour, where it was safely secured at 1405. ILB returned to station at 1435. wind SE F2.
1st October Inshore lifeboat launched at 2008 to bring person ashore from craft in Stangate creek on compassionate grounds, person embarked and landed ashore to CG at Lifeboat station. ILB returned to station at 2041. wind Sthly F2.
3rd October Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1805 to report of 2 youths in small dinghy off Isle of Grain, using pieces of wood as paddles, ILB proceeded to reported position, but nothing seen, casualties were located near Horseshoe Pt, having come down under jetties, ILB met by Police unit and occupants ashore with police, ILB towed dinghy back to station, returning at 1900. wind SW F 4.
9th October Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1833 to 25ft motor sailer with 2 persons onboard, in Gillingham reach, craft suffered machinery failure, due to blocked fule line, ILB arrived on scene and took the casualty in tow for Chatham marina pontoon, where it was secured. ILB returned to station at 2035. wind NW F5/6.
28th October Inshore Lifeboat launched at 0254 to distressed person on Rochester bridge, the ILB was recalled at 0257, when the Police detained the person, ILB ready for service at 0311. wind SW F1/2.
28th October Inshore lifeboat crew paged at 1314 to report of 2 persons in the water at Lower Halstow, the launch was cancelled at 1317, when the two persons were safe ashore.
3rd November Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1701 to 14ft dinghy with 2 youths onboard drifting off Yantlet range, Isle of Grain after losing their outboard overboard, no other means of propulsion to get them ashore, no radio or flares. ILB located the casualty, took the two occupants onboard and towed the craft back to the shore at Grain. ILB returned to station at 1815. wind Sthly F4/5.
6th November All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1254 to 30ft Ex-ships converted lifeboat, broken down and drifting, believed somewhere between the Blacktail Spit and Whitaker, VHF comms lost. Walton L/B also tasked and coming down from the North, Sheerness ALB to commence search at Blacktail Spit up through Swin, whilst L/B was going up the swin, the casualty was sighted to the South of Barrow bank in Barrow channel, ALB arrived on scene, 2 pob, all ok, Sheerness L/B was tasked to another incident, so casualty was handed over to Walton L/B at 1350. wind Nthly F5/6.
6th November All Weather Lifeboat tasked at 1350 from previous incident to a 22ft Yacht broken down and drifting, unsure of exact position, somewhere off Shoebury, ALB proceeding, casualty initiated EPIRB and casualty located by Lifeboat’s D/F, South of Shoebury Boom, casualty taken in tow, but during tow, casualty lost tiller, crewman placed onboard with casualty drogue, tow resumed and casualty secured in Queenborough hbr at 1610. ALB ready for service at 1712. wind Nthly F5/6.
20th November Inshore Lifeboat crew paged at 1530 to report of girl trapped in mud at Rochester, ILB stood down at 1537, girl safely recovered to dry land. ILB recovered.
24th November Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1144 to report of person jumped from M2 Motorway bridge, Rochester.  Along with ILB, Police RIB and Rescue Helicopter proceeding. ILB was stood down at 1205, when it was confirmed that person was recovered by Police. ILB returned to station at 1238. wind SW F3.
30th November Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1256 to report of person threatening to or jumped from Rochester bridge. ILB commenced search on scene at 1334 along with shore units and fire launch, area thoroughly searched, nothing untoward found, ILB returned to station at 1520. wind SSW F4/5.
13th December All Weather Lifeboat launched at 1145 to report of distressed person on Rochester rail bridge, once on scene, the ALB deployed the small XP boat to stand off bridge, whilst Police negotiated with person to come off bridge, once safe, the Lifeboat was released and returned to station at 1542. wind SW F7.
29th December Inshore Lifeboat launched at 1530 to Jet Skier fallen from his bike and unable to climb back onboard, position approx quarter of a mile off Allhallows Yacht club, ILB proceeded at best speed in prevailing weather and was conned onto casualty by Medway CG, casualty safely taken onboard ILB, very cold & hypothermic and immediately landed ashore to CG & ambulance at Allhallows, bike also brought ashore. ILB returned to station at 1647. wind Wstly F6/7.
