Sheerness Inshore lifeboat were tasked by the UK Coastguard at 13:43 on Monday 19th April to a small inflatable dinghy with reported outboard failure. The craft with two people onboard was situated just off Barton’s Point, Sheerness.
The lifeboat launched at 13:54 with a crew of three and located the tiny craft, which was now underway, at 14:02.
With no action required by the lifeboat crew other than offering safety advice to the two persons, neither of whom was wearing a lifejacket, the ILB was released and returned to station at 14:14. East North East, F2.
