The Sheerness inshore lifeboat was tasked by the UK Coastguard at 9.26am on Saturday 13 November to respond to reports of a kite surfer in apparent difficulty in the vicinity of the eastern end of The Leas, Minster seafront. Reports that several other people had gone into the water to assist were also passed on. Launching at 9.42am with a crew of 3 onboard the Lifeboat was stood down at 9.50am after it had been confirmed by the local Sheppey Coastguard Rescue Team that all persons were accounted for and on shore. Weather cloudy, Wind W F3 Sea state calm visibility good. ILB returned to station at 10.00am,refueled, washed down and ready for service at 10.15
